Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Savvu Forecast, a service operated by ECDEV Ventures LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("ECDEV Ventures," "the app," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the app. You must be at least 18 years of age to use Savvu Forecast.

2. Description of Service

Savvu Forecast is a personal finance forecasting and budgeting tool with optional cloud sync. It is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. The app allows you to manually track accounts, transactions, budgets, categories, and project future cash flow across multiple devices. A free tier and a paid Pro subscription tier are available.

Important: Savvu Forecast does not connect to banks, financial institutions, brokerage accounts, or any external financial data provider. All financial data — including account balances, transactions, budgets, and goals — is entered manually by you. No financial data is imported, fetched, or synced automatically from any third party.

3. Account & Authentication

Savvu Forecast uses passwordless magic link authentication. By signing in, you confirm you are the owner of the email address provided. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account and all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share your session token or allow others to access your account without authorization.

4. Household Sharing

Pro subscribers may invite additional members to share a household. Invited members will have access to all accounts, transactions, categories, and goals within the shared household. You are solely responsible for only inviting individuals you trust with your financial data. A member who chooses to leave a shared household is given their own household containing a copy of that household's data as it stood when they left. That copy includes all of the household's data, not only the data that member contributed — including accounts, transactions, categories and goals added by other members — and it remains theirs afterwards. This is a consequence of how sharing works: when a member joins, their existing data is merged into the household and is no longer separately identifiable. The original household's data is unaffected by their departure. The household owner may remove a member at any time; a member who is removed loses access to the shared household and does not receive a copy, including of data they personally added. Because of this, you should only invite people you trust with your financial data, and you should assume that anyone you invite may keep a copy of it. We are not responsible for any harm arising from household sharing arrangements.

5. Not Financial Advice

Savvu Forecast does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice of any kind. All projections, forecasts, and calculations produced by the app are estimates based solely on data you manually enter. They are provided for informational and personal planning purposes only and do not constitute professional financial guidance. You should consult a qualified licensed financial advisor, accountant, or attorney before making any financial decisions. We expressly disclaim any responsibility for financial outcomes, losses, or decisions made based on use of this app.

6. Accuracy of Information

The accuracy of all forecasts, calculations, and outputs depends entirely on the accuracy of data manually entered by you. Savvu Forecast does not verify, validate, or cross-reference your data against any external source. We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any output produced by the app. Errors in data entry may produce materially incorrect results.

8. Pro Subscription & Billing

Paid subscriptions are sold through Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller and merchant of record, whose platform is powered by Stripe's payment infrastructure. By subscribing, you purchase from Lemon Squeezy (the seller of record) and authorize it to charge your payment method the specified fees. When completing a transaction, you will be redirected to Lemon Squeezy's secure hosted checkout page. We are not liable or responsible for any network failures, processing errors, or technical downtime that occurs while you are browsing or using Lemon Squeezy's hosted checkout platform.

All subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) depending on the plan you select. Your subscription will automatically renew at the start of each billing cycle, and you authorize Lemon Squeezy to charge your designated payment method for the applicable renewal fees.

Free trial: New accounts include a 30-day free trial of Pro features. No payment method is required to start the trial, and the trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription — you are not charged unless you actively choose to subscribe. When the trial ends, your account reverts to the Free plan (currently: 1 account, 5 categories, 50 one-time and 10 recurring transactions, and a 1-year forecast); your existing data is retained. We may change the trial length or free-plan limits for new users at any time.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time, with no cancellation fee, through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (a link is included in your order-confirmation email and available in the app) or by contacting support@savvuforecast.com. To avoid the next charge, cancel before your renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain Pro access until it ends.

Refunds: We offer a 30-day refund on your first subscription payment if you are not satisfied. To request a refund, email support@savvuforecast.com within 30 days of your initial charge. All other payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to deny refund requests that appear fraudulent or abusive.

Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing at any time. You will be notified of price changes before they take effect on your account.

We reserve the right to revoke Pro access for accounts used in violation of these Terms.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, trademarks, and branding associated with Savvu Forecast are the intellectual property of their respective owners. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of any part of the app without explicit written permission.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Savvu Forecast to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) transmit harmful, fraudulent, or unlawful content; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; (d) resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service; (e) use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the app.

11. Customer Support & Acceptable Communications

We provide email-based customer support to assist users with technical issues and account inquiries. Support requests must be sent to support@savvuforecast.com.

While we make every reasonable effort to respond in a timely manner, we do not guarantee specific response times or resolutions, unless explicitly agreed upon under a separate paid Service Level Agreement (SLA).

We enforce a zero-tolerance policy regarding communication abuse. We reserve the right to immediately refuse support, restrict your communication access, or permanently terminate your account without a refund if you engage in behavior we deem:

SAVVU FORECAST IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. YOUR USE OF THE APP IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ECDEV VENTURES LLC (OPERATOR OF SAVVU FORECAST) AND ITS MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF SAVINGS, FINANCIAL LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, REGARDLESS OF THE CAUSE OR THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ECDEV Ventures LLC (operator of Savvu Forecast), its members, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the app; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any financial decisions you make based on information from the app.

15. Dispute Resolution & Class Action Waiver

Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes between you and us are resolved.

Informal resolution first. Before starting an arbitration or lawsuit, you agree to try to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@savvuforecast.com and giving us 30 days to resolve it.

Binding arbitration. If a dispute is not resolved informally, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Savvu Forecast will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. Arbitration may take place in Texas or, at your election, by telephone/video or in your home county. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

Small claims & injunctive relief. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for intellectual-property or unauthorized-access matters.

Class-action waiver. You and ECDEV Ventures LLC agree to bring claims against each other only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action. Arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis only.

30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@savvuforecast.com with your account email and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes not subject to arbitration shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

17. Service Availability & Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time, with or without notice. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

18. General Provisions

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and ECDEV Ventures LLC regarding Savvu Forecast and supersede any prior agreements on this subject.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Force majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party services, network or hosting failures, natural disasters, or acts of government.

19. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.
